Mission: Advance the university's mission by supporting the alignment of strategic goals and operations, catalyzing collaboration, and cultivating a culture of inclusive excellence that values difference and enables each person to flourish.
The Office for IDEAL Advancement partners with leaders and community members across the university to align efforts, lead and support initiatives, provide subject matter expertise, and enhance policies, programs and systems for operational excellence, while fostering a culture of belonging where everyone feels included.
The office was established on July 1, 2024 under the unit of Institutional Equity, Access & Community, which also includes the Diversity & Access office, office of the Ombuds and SHARE Title IX office. The IDEAL Advancement team was formerly a part of University Human Resources.
